<p>As-Salam: Jurnal Ilmiah Ilmu-Ilmu Keislaman merupakan jurnal ilmiah yang diterbitkan oleh Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam YAMISA Soreang Bandung, frekuensi terbitan sebanyak dua kali dalam setahun, antara bulan Februari/akhir semeter genap, dan bulan Agustus yakni pada akhir semester ganjil. <p>Supervision in schools is carried out by the principal who acts as a supervisor, so he must be able to carry out various supervision and control to improve teacher performance. Supervision and control are preventive measures to prevent teachers from committing deviations and to be more careful in carrying out their work as educators. Therefore, this study reveals the supervision activities carried out by the Principal of SMP Ibnu Sina Sangatta Utara on teacher performance. The results of this study are: 1). The focus of supervision activities carried out by the principal can be identified in two ways, namely; supervision activities involving teacher administration and teaching and learning process activities, 2). Supervision activities are very helpful for teachers in solving educational problems faced by teachers when carrying out learning, and can provide motivation for teachers to always increase knowledge to become professional teachers in carrying out learning, 3). <p>This study aims to analyze the theories of the entry of Islam in Indonesia and the origin of Islam in Indonesia. The theories of the entry of Islam in Indonesia have always been an interesting and actual topic to study and explore, especially Muslims in the academic world. By using the literature study method, this research shows that from existing theories, Islam entered Indonesia through a peaceful way, so that it can be easily accepted by the Indonesian people. This study is important to add to the source of the study of Islamic history in Indonesia, especially the scarcity of themes about the theories of the entry of Islam in Indonesia. <p>Progresivisme merupakan madzhab filsafat pendidikan modern yang menghendaki adanya perubahan pelaksanaan pendidikan menjadi lebih maju. Madzhab progresivisme ini mengutamakan penyelenggaraan pendidikan di sekolah berpusat pada anak dan menjadikan pendidik hanya sebatas sebagai fasilitaor, pembimbing, dan pengarah bagi peserta didik. Adapun tujuan dari aliran progresivisme dalam pendidikan merubah praktik pendidikan yang selama ini terkesan otiriter menjadi demokratis dan lebih menghargai potensi dan kemampuan anak, serta mendorong untuk dilaksanakannya pembelajaran yang lebih banyak melibatkan peserta didik. Dengan menerapkan madzhab progresivisme dalam pendidikan, harapannya dapat membahwa perubahan dan kemajuan pendidikan di Indonesia menjadi lebih berkualitas, sehingga mampu mewujudkan tujuan pendidikan nasional Indonesia.</p>Agus Burhan
